My husband and I decided to preserve our son's cord blood for several reasons. With so much on-going research, who knows what those stem cells will be able to do in the future. My father has lymphoma and my husband's brother has diabetes. If it can one day help one of them, it would be such a blessing. Not to mention if our son may ever need them, God forbid!
